Presenter: Phil Wetherell

Phil Wetherell is the Water Service Quality & Sustainability Program Leader for the City of Logan (retail water supplier for over 300,000 people in Southeast Queensland).

He is a scientist with a MSc in Environmental Health and has over 15 years of experience in the water and mining industries with much of his career focussed on the risk management planning, asset commissioning validation, and the optimisation of both drinking water and recycled water networks to provide safe drinking water and improve public health outcomes.

Phil specialises in drinking water network risk management planning and implementing best practice drinking water quality management systems. Phil is passionate about practical scientific solutions, communication and clean water and sanitation more broadly. Phil brings expertise and experience in best practice water quality management in distribution systems as well as operations within the local government context.
