On Saturday 17th June, a touch of ‘Venice’ was brought to Brisbane City Hall at the 2017 Queensland WaterAid Masquerade Ball!
From the minute the stage was filled with the first strains of ‘Nessun Dorma’ and the incredible dancers from The Dream Dance Company, until the last song was played by the fabulous band SisterMISTER….the entire night had an electric atmosphere and made for a very special WaterAid Ball! The fabulous MC Bernie Hobbs, once again kept the crowd entertained right from the start and undoubtedly a highlight of the night was hearing from George Theo – CEO of Unitywater and Rosie Wheen – Chief Executive of WaterAid, who both gave very insightful and powerful speeches.
The night was a perfect mix of fun, frivolity and fundraising – to the tune of $180,000 for WaterAid. Over the past 3 years, the QLD WaterAid Ball has raised nearly half a million dollars for WaterAid – what an amazing achievement!
