Stephan Tait


Dr Stephan Tait PhD(Eng) CEng IChemE

Stephan holds a Pork CRC research fellowship at the Advanced Water Management Centre (AWMC), the University of Queensland (UQ) in Brisbane. He predominantly works in agri-industries, promoting and facilitating adoption of wastewater treatment technologies. Stephan has specialist skills in water and wastewater chemistry and anaerobic digestion.

Stephan is a chartered professional engineer with the Institution of Chemical Engineers with direct industry experience formerly working for an engineering consultant around Australia and in Hong Kong. Stephan has a passion for effectively translating R&D into industrial practice. He is on an IWA Taskgroup for chemistry modelling in wastewater and is an active educator who teaches final year chemical engineering subjects at UQ.
