Recycled Water Management

This course provides training in best practice recycled water management. Taking a practical approach the course is targeted to those responsible for aspects of recycled water quality and environmental management in water utilities and private water suppliers as well as health and economic regulators.

This practical course is structured around a series of sessions that begin by explaining concepts using illustrative examples. Each short lecture is followed by small group and individual exercises to provide opportunities for participants to apply concepts to their situations. Case studies of implementation are given using leading edge Australian examples.  

The trainers delivering the course have been intimately involved in developing and implementing the Australian Guidelines for Water Recycling (AGWR). Dr Dan Deere was a member of the AGWR Risk Management Framework and Integration Working Group, was engaged to develop health aspects of the stormwater recycling guidelines and was part of the Working Group that developed the Requality tool for Framework implementation assessment for the Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA). Dr Daryl Stevens was a member of the AGWR Environmental Risk Working Group, and the Coordinator of the Scientific Services for the Environmental Risk Component. Both Dan and Daryl are involved in facilitating and assessing the implementation of the AGWR for recycled water schemes across Australia.
